Leam Richardson has said he wasn't even sure it was a foul from Charlie Barnett in the game against Port Vale, let alone a red card offense.
Speaking to the press following the 3-0 loss, whilst Richardson didn't directly lame the early sending off for the loss, he more than admits it seriously hampered our attempts to get something from the game.
'From my angle it looked like Charlie had made a tackle and I didn't think it was a free kick, never mind a sending off. But I'll have to take another look before giving a final verdict. It was very frustrating because to go down to 10 men so soon at a place like this makes it extremely difficult and changes everything. Everything we've worked on goes out the window. If we'd kept 11 on the pitch I fancied us to get something. We coped well in the first half and I can't fault the players for the effort. All of them kept going to the end.'
