Richardson - Just Not Good Enough

Leam Richardson has been left ruing our defensive errors in the game against Exeter.

The manager believed we were comfortable for large parts of the game, but the two goals we conceded were very poor. The result leaves Accrington sat in 21st place in the league, and with only 1 win in our last 16 matches.

Describing it as not good enough, Richardson said.

'It wasn't pleasant for the neutral, two sides set up in identical fashion and we were comfortable. The two goals conceded were very poor and that is the message to the lads. They were certainly not good enough and we can do more.'

Richardson said that most of the training ahead of the game was designed to try and keep us solid at the back so we didn't make sloppy mistakes that we would pay for, but with the way the game played out he was left scratching his head at 2-0 down.
