Stanley In Cash Flow Problem

Accrington Stanley have revealed that they have failed to pay some members of the team because of ongoing financial issues.

Speaking to the BBC managing director Rob Heys explained that fans shouldn't worry about the announcement, it was just a problem caused by some unexpected bills.

'We have paid some wages at the moment, but we haven't paid them all. Wages were due as of March 1 but fortunately we have managed to sort the funding from the current board.'

Heys says that it's always a struggle to keep a League 2 team going, but the staff and players are working as normal in an effort to improve our league position, although he does concede it's not acceptable and the club aren't looking for excuses for the unfortunate incident.
