Richardson - We Still Have Plenty To Play For

Leam Richardson has said that despite us opening a gap of five points over the relegation places, Accrington still have plenty to play for this season.

Today's 2-0 victory over Morecambe has given everyone a big boost and Leam believes the players have hit form just at the right point for us to be able to safely move away from the drop zone but he doesn't want anyone to relax now we look relatively safe.

'We just have to keep going. We have put ourselves in a decent position but we have to make sure we get the job done. The onus is on us to win games and and if we do that we won't have a problem but it's still tight.'

Richardson says he believes the team adjusted well at half time to close up problems that Morecambe were causing us in the first half, so ultimately the victory was well deserved.

The aim now is to try and ensure maximum points from the remaining fixtures to keep us above those below us.
