Beattie Foots Tax Bill

It's being reported that James Beattie has stepped in and paid Accrington's tax bill out of his own pocket so the club can avoid a transfer embargo.

The Daily Mail report that the bill is believed to be in the tens of thousands region, and although Accrington have promised to repay him, they point to the commitment he's showing the club in the first management role in football.

Top man and wonderful gesture.
