Three Youth Players Offered Pro Terms

Three Youth Players Offered Pro Terms

Three youth players at the club have now been handed their first professional contracts by manager James Beattie after being impressed with their development.

The deals are yet to be signed and rubber stamped but that should all be done by July 1st.

Youth captain Liam Goulding, striker James Jenkins and defender Luke Greaves will all make the step up to Beattie's first teams squad when the players report back for pre season training, and trio were presented to the crowd ahead of our curtain closer against AFC Wimbledon last season.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.

'We're pleased to have the three lads for next season. It's a credit to how well they've done and the hard work that's been put in by all the staff in the Academy. I'm sure the lads are excited about coming back for pre season training and we're looking forward to having them with us.'

All three of the players offered pro terms were involved in our successful FA Youth Cup run last season which included us defeating West Ham United.
