Procter is now the Reds' longest serving player following the departure of Robbie Williams. He was made captain at the beginning of the 2009/10 season. He signed for Stanley from non league neighbours Great Harwood when he was only 18 years old. He has now made the central midfield role his own and is the first name of Stanley's team sheet. He has won five trophies with the Reds as he has been with the club in their rise back to League Two. Received recognition for the England National Game XI in 2004, featuring against Iraq. His 11 goals in the 2007-2008 season remain his best return so far in his career.
