'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We could pass each other to death

ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman is looking forward to hitting the road this evening as Stanley travel to Yorkshire to face npower Championship side Doncaster Rovers.

Stanley are used to away days in cup competitions after being forced to travel to sides such as Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers in previous years.

'Away from home in this competition we've tended to play well and not get the results,' said the boss speaking to accringtonstanley.co.uk.

The gaffer is also relishing a good playing surface, which will suit both sides' footballing habits, as his men were forced to change their plans after seeing the condition of the turf at The Crown Ground for the season opener on Saturday.

'It's going to be nice to change that. It's a lovely pitch at the Keepmoat and they will try to play football which should suit us.'

Doncaster have a reputation for their passing football and have often been dubbed the Arsenal of the Championship, while Accrington also tend to play the game in the right way, with the ball on the ground.

Coleman continued: 'We could pass each other to death!

'We'll have to wait and see. I know we'll be trying to play the game the right way and hopefully it should make for a good spectacle.'
